Who we are
Seaess Designs Ltd are a firm of manufacturing jewellers and designers. We are committed to ensuring your privacy is protected. Any information we collect from you will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy. We are obliged to keep details about you in order to assist with your jewellery requirements. This Privacy Policy contains information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.
Types of data we collect
We will only collect your information for lawful or legitimate reasons. We will collect personal e mail and contact information together with your information about your jewellery that is essential to your jewellery requirements. We use that information to keep in touch with you regarding the design, upkeep and valuation of your jewellery. We are required to keep your records for 6 years in accordance with HMRC statutory accounts.
We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We are sometimes required to share details of your with insurance companies regarding the valuation of your jewellery. We will always ask for your consent to share these details. However, without this information your insurance company may be unable to insure or replace your jewellery.
We may contact you regarding the maintenance and security of your jewellery in order to assist you in keeping your jewellery in a good condition as required by your insurance company.
We access e mails via password protected laptops, I pads and smart phones.  We use Dropbox to store your valuations securely. Should we need to print a hard copy of your valuation for signature we will store these securely in a locked, alarmed room.  We will destroy any hard copy valuations by shredding them within 1 year. Digitally stored valuations will be deleted after 10 years.
We may contact you regarding the maintenance and security of your jewellery in order to assist you in keeping your jewellery in a good condition as required by your insurance company.
Data Breach
In the event of a data breach. We will ensure that the breach is as contained as possible, assess the risk to data subjects as soon as possible, gather and collate the information from all relevant sources. We will consider relevant data protection impact assessments and notify supervisory authorities, data controllers, data subjects of the breach in accordance with this policy.
Access to your personal information
Under GDPR you, the data subject, have the right to access and amend any of your personal data that we hold. E mail any request of this nature to Judsaff@aol.com. Any requests will be dealt with within 30 days.
Changes to this Privacy Notice
This policy was created in May 2018 and will be reviewed annually.
